Georgia Trip: July 30- August 5/ Cost $155

We are thrilled to be just days away from our annual Georgia camp trip!  Below you will find a detailed schedule of the week's events, as well as contact information. We are expecting God to do great things in the hearts of our young people and trust that you are praying for the same!  We would like to list a few BRING and DON'T BRING items in an effort to help the trip be as positively memorable as possible.  PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ THROUGH THOROUGHLY.   Some of the BRING items are suggestions that we gained from our experience last year.

BRING: Bible, shower items, snacks, spending money for traveling, ample clothing, towels, trash bag, sunscreen, bug spray, flip flops, shoes (that you can hike in), pillow, blanket or sleeping bag.

TAKE NOTE:

*Permission slips must be handed in on Sunday evening.  These are available for pick-up at Harbor.

*On Sunday night, since we will be staying at a hotel, it would be a GREAT IDEA to assemble a small night bag with what you will need at the hotel- this way we will not have to completely unpack the bus at 1:00A.M. :)

*Lunch on Monday will be a fast-food stop, as will the trip home on Saturday.  It would be a necessity to bring a few dollars for spending money on Monday and Saturday. ALL OTHER MEALS WILL BE PROVIDED.

DON'T BRING: knives/weapons, air-soft guns, fireworks, bad attitudes :)If  you have any questions regarding what to bring or what NOT to bring, please contact Br. Sean or Mrs. Erikka below.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Sunday Night- July 30 We will depart immediately after church on Sunday Evening.  Our goal is to be packed BEFORE the service (Harbor teens) so that we simply need to add in luggage from the additional teens before we hit the road,  Our goal is to drive Sunday evening to Virginia, where we will stop at a hotel and rejuvenate until Monday at check out time. A breakfast buffet is provided at the hotel.

Monday- July 31 Our main objective on Monday is traveling.  With a bus that maxes out around 60 mph, we will spend the daytime driving, and arrive at Suwanee, GA around 6:30 P.M.  Upon arrival we will have dinner and then focus on sleeping arrangements, etc., before our official start Tuesday morning.

Tuesday- August 1 Tuesday morning after breakfast we will have a devotional before leaving for our day trip. Tuesday is our river tubing and dual-racing water-slide day.  Last year, the water slide was epic in our memories.  It is ours for really as long as we would like, and we wore ourselves out running dozens of times up the approximately 140 steps to the top! When we return home, we have dinner together and our evening service outside,  Each night we take full advantage of the fully-lit. regulation-sized softball fields.

Wednesday- August 2 Wednesday morning, we plan to get an early start with breakfast and our morning devotions in order to leave for a hike to the waterfalls just outside of Helen, GA. Known as the "Blue Hole", the base of the falls offers a welcome icy dip for those brave enough, and the scenery is said to be stunning.  We will stop at (arguably) the world's best ice cream shoppe before heading back to dinner at camp. After dinner, we will freshen up and be a part of the services at Peach Tree Road Baptist Church.

Thursday- August 3 the main activity for this day is TBA as we are still working on our final pricing with a few different activities,  I can promise you though, that the two events we are choosing between are both AWESOME. As always, upon our return to camp we will have dinner together and our evening service.

Friday- August 4 For a memorable clincher to our week, Friday we rent a camp site on Lake Lanier.  Pastor Jay Reed is generous enough to lend his time and expertise in boating, and we spend the day barbecuing and tubing the lake.  Because we eat lunch and dinner at the camp site, we get a later arrival back to camp.  Our final evening service will be held.  After the evening service, we will clean the property and pack our things for a EARLY departure back home on Saturday morning.
